Re:Flex the Architect
BIO
Stephen Adams a.k.a Re:Flex the Architect discovered hip hop at the age of 11 in England. Most of what he listened to was wack, but he was intrigued by this new form of music that he had never experienced while growing up in Nigeria. He then decided to rhyme & produce at age 13, with a cheap Yamaha keyboard and a passion for music. After a couple of musical desert years (which included getting bored with wack hip hop, and getting into dance music), in the late 90s, he discovered the music of artists such as Mos Def and Talib Kweli, Grits, Mars Ill, Tunnel Rats, Blackalicious, and others, and has never looked back since. His love for hip hop music and culture is very genuine.Re:Flex's production style is versatile, but with an emphasis on head-nodding funk & soulful musicality. As an MC, his 'tell-it-like-I-see-it' honesty, fun-loving personality and love for punchlines (as well as an English accent), make for an interesting artist. His agenda as an artist is to show the hip hop world the reality of the love of God for them through dope beats & rhymes deeply rooted in reality.
